rambler roadster pop top roof

i made this car roofless intentionally, but the then-upcoming LeMon's Hell on Wheels Rally '16 through Death Valley in August in a roofless car seemed just a wee bit too stupid, so i made this thing. i had saved the chopped-off roof metal, it was a nice shape. i ended up using about two thirds of it for an openable roof. a previous attempt at a plastic roof didn't work out, air would get under it and make it vibrate. this one, hinged at the front, solve all problems. it's a little too boat-like, i've since removed it, but it goes back on in 10 minutes (two bolts, two snap-on lifts). it was kinda fun to make.
